  1.         - How to make an electronic detonator -

  4.     This is very simple.  All you really need to know is somthing 
  5. about switches and l.e.d. lights.  You can really use any kind of container.
  6. Finding the right one might be difficult.  I used a 22 long rifle amunition
  7. case.  These are clearish yellow plastic.  They are relliable and sturdy.
  8. You will need:
  9. 4 "AA" bateries
  10. 2 "AAA" bateries
  11. 3 switches
  12. 3 L.E.D. lights

  14.     You need to first make the saftey circut.  Take two of the switches
  15. and the 3 led lights.  Attach the led lights so that the two switches have 
  16. to be on for the lights to go on.  The 2 "AAA" bateries will be the power 
  17. source for them.  Here is a diagram:

  30. Now that probably does not make any sense at all.  Then the detonation 
  31. circut must be constructed.  You use all 3 switches in this one.  Take the
  32. two switches that you had for the above circut and  the other switch so that
  33. all of them have to be switched forward or "on" to complete the circut.
  34. This will make sure that it is completely safe if the switches are turned 
  35. off.  Here is another sorry diagram:

  42. Here, mabye this will explain it better.  The whole circut is made so that
  43. when you switch the first two switches the led lights will glow telling you
  44. that the detonator is armed.  When you flip the final switch it will 
  45. complete the circut detonating the explosive.  I will use the simple Co2
  46. bomb as an example.  You will need an igniter(the kind used to launch modle
  47. rockets) which can be found at you local hobbie store.  Instead of inserting
  48. a fuse, place the igniter in its place.  Attach the cables coming from your
  49. detonator to the igniter.  Then flip the switches!!
